Georgia debuts new State Animal Facility for Emergencies (SAFE) Center

As the only facility of its kind in the nation, Georgia’s new State Animal Facility for Emergencies (SAFE) Center provides shelter to animals during natural & manmade disasters — and it is now ready for occupancy if activated! The 7,800 sq.ft. facility can hold up to 80 cats, 105 dogs and 30 horses, plus a fenced pasture to accommodate other animals.
